Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026

Plain-language summary: FieldSeal is local-first and does not require an account. Your projects, photos, notes, reports, and backups stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Optional platform services handle address lookup, purchases, consent, and free-tier advertising. Eligible Pro users can also choose a monthly backup reminder that is scheduled locally on the device.

This Privacy Policy explains how FieldSeal: GPS Photo Reports (the “App,” “FieldSeal,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. FieldSeal is published by Mirza. Privacy questions can be sent to zohaaq1@gmail.com.

1. Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use FieldSeal, the App may store:

  • Projects, reference numbers, customer details, addresses, notes, tags, categories, and project status.
  • Photos you capture or select, thumbnails, annotations, proof copies, before-and-after comparisons, reports, exports, and backups.
  • Capture date and time, time zone, source type, capture identifiers, device and App version context, and image metadata.
  • When you allow foreground location: coordinates, available accuracy, altitude, heading, location timestamp, and a resolved street address when available.
  • File fingerprints, integrity metadata, verification results, purchase-entitlement state, security and notification preferences, locally scheduled reminder metadata, and privacy-safe diagnostic events.

The structured database is encrypted with SQLCipher. Originals and generated files are stored in Android app-private storage. Ordinary media files are not separately encrypted at the file level by FieldSeal. Password-protected FieldSeal backups use authenticated encryption.

2. No FieldSeal account or cloud sync

Version 1 does not create a FieldSeal account, upload your project library to a FieldSeal backend, or provide cloud synchronization. Local content remains on the device unless you explicitly choose an export, gallery-save, backup, or share action.

3. Device permissions

  • Camera: used to take new photos.
  • Foreground location: optional; used to attach available location details to a new capture. Capture remains available when location is denied or unavailable.
  • Biometric or device authentication: used when you enable App Lock or test authentication in Security settings.
  • Notifications: optional; used only when you choose to allow a local backup reminder.
  • User-selected files and photos: Android system pickers are used for import and restore. FieldSeal does not request broad access to your entire media library.

You can change permissions in Android Settings. Features that require a denied permission may be unavailable or may continue with reduced metadata.

4. Optional local backup reminders

A monthly backup reminder is available to eligible FieldSeal Pro users and is off until the user enables it. On Android versions that require runtime notification permission, FieldSeal requests POST_NOTIFICATIONS only after the user chooses to allow notifications. Turning the reminder off in FieldSeal Settings cancels its local schedule; notifications can also be blocked in Android Settings.

The reminder is scheduled on the device. The RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permission allows the local notification scheduler to restore the schedule after a device reboot. It does not start cloud sync or give FieldSeal access to additional project data. FieldSeal does not register for remote push notifications, request or collect an Expo or Firebase Cloud Messaging push token, or send reminder content to a FieldSeal backend.

Reminder text is deliberately generic. It does not contain project names, customer details, photos, notes, stored addresses, coordinates, or report content.

5. Address resolution

If address resolution is enabled and a capture has coordinates, FieldSeal may submit those coordinates to the Android platform geocoding service to request a street address. The available provider depends on the device and Android configuration. Address lookup is secondary: an original can be saved without an address, and the App may retry a pending lookup later.

6. Advertising and consent

The free version may display occasional interstitial advertisements supplied by Google AdMob at non-critical transitions. FieldSeal also uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request or manage advertising consent where required. These Google services may process advertising or device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, consent choices, ad impressions and interactions, fraud-prevention signals, and device/App diagnostics.

FieldSeal requests non-personalized advertising by default and does not send your photos, project details, customer details, notes, stored street addresses, or precise capture coordinates to Google for advertising. Ad behavior may be limited further by your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google policy. FieldSeal Pro and Remove Ads suppress FieldSeal advertising.

See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Technologies page.

7. Google Play purchases

Google Play processes the optional FieldSeal Pro Lifetime and Remove Ads lifetime purchases. Google may process product identifiers, purchase tokens, transaction history, account and device information, and diagnostics needed to complete, acknowledge, restore, refund, or revoke a purchase. FieldSeal does not receive your full payment-card details.

8. Sharing, exports, and receiving apps

FieldSeal shares data only after you choose an export, save, backup, or share action. The Android Sharesheet, file provider, gallery, cloud-storage provider, email app, or other receiving service you select handles its copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Review recipients and report contents before sharing, especially when a project contains customer or location information.

9. Retention and deletion

Local FieldSeal content remains until you delete it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Items moved to FieldSeal Trash have a recorded purge date—30 days by default—and can be restored or permanently deleted. Expired Trash is processed when FieldSeal starts; it is not a continuously running background deletion service.

Clearing App storage or uninstalling removes app-private local data without using FieldSeal Trash and cannot be undone without a valid backup and its password, if applicable. Copies you previously shared, exported, or saved elsewhere must be deleted from those locations separately. See Data Deletion for instructions.

10. Security and integrity limitations

FieldSeal uses Android platform protections, private storage, an encrypted structured database, Android Keystore-protected keys, SHA-256 fingerprints, integrity metadata, and authenticated encryption for password-protected backups. No device or storage method is completely secure. Device compromise, key loss, data clearing, uninstall, storage failure, or loss of all valid backups may make local data unrecoverable.

FieldSeal verification checks whether a current local file matches a fingerprint previously recorded by the App. It does not prove that an event shown was genuine, provide an independently trusted timestamp or location, prevent all manipulation, or guarantee acceptance by a court, insurer, authority, customer, or other party.

11. Website information

This public website is hosted by Vercel. It does not use FieldSeal accounts, advertising cookies, or analytics scripts. Vercel may process ordinary hosting data such as IP address, request time, requested page, user agent, and security or operational logs under its own privacy terms.

12. Children

FieldSeal is a professional documentation tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a FieldSeal account because the App does not provide accounts.

13. Your choices and rights

You can deny optional permissions, disable or cancel local reminders, disable address lookup, manage advertising privacy options when available, export your records, delete selected content, clear all App storage, or uninstall FieldSeal. Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive information about processing. Because FieldSeal data is primarily local, many requests can be completed directly on your device. Contact us if you need assistance.

14. Changes

We may update this policy as FieldSeal, its providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published at this address with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or store listing when appropriate.
